Terms of use
The agreement between you and Amano.
Who we are
Amano is run by Gandasoft, a trade name, not a registered company. VAT: Not registered for VAT. Contact: gandasoft@zohomail.com.
What Amano is
Amano is a free online directory. Providers publish information about their services, and visitors use it to find providers and contact them directly. Amano only provides visibility and a way to make contact.
Amano is not a party
We are not a party to any agreement between a customer and a provider. We don’t employ, recommend, select, supervise or pay providers, set their prices, take part in negotiations or handle payments. Any service is offered, agreed, performed and paid for directly between the customer and the provider, who is responsible for it, including for telling customers about taxes and extra costs.
Price and payment
Using Amano is free for customers and providers. We charge no fees or commissions and handle no payments, so there is nothing to refund. If we ever offer a paid feature, its price and conditions will be shown before you can buy it, and you will not be charged without agreeing.
Voluntary contributions
Anyone may choose to send a voluntary contribution by bank transfer, through the Support page, to help cover hosting, maintenance and development. Contributions are entirely optional: using Amano never requires one. A contribution is a gift, not a payment for a service, so it creates no contract for services with us and gives no access to features, better placement, reviews or any other benefit. Gandasoft is not a registered charity or voluntary organisation, issues no tax receipts, and does not say that a contribution is tax-deductible. If you sent money by mistake, write to gandasoft@zohomail.com within 30 days and we will send it back.
Provider accounts
Provider accounts are for people aged 18 or over. Give accurate details and keep your password safe. Say on your profile whether you act as a business. You are responsible for holding any licence, registration, insurance or qualification the law requires for your work, and for following the consumer, tax and safety rules that apply to it.
Your content
You are responsible for everything you publish, and for keeping it accurate, lawful and up to date. You keep your rights in it, and allow us, free of charge, to host, show and adapt it (for example resize photos) on Amano for as long as it stays there. You confirm that you own or may use every photo, and that every person shown in it or listed in your team has agreed. Don’t show children, documents, number plates, house numbers or anything that identifies a customer without their agreement. Photos must follow the photo guidelines.
Not allowed
False or misleading information; services you are not legally allowed to provide; content that is illegal, discriminatory or hateful, or breaks other people’s rights; fake reviews or reviewing yourself; collecting other users’ data; automated scraping; and attempts to get around our security.
How results are ordered
Providers covering the area searched come first, then those in nearby areas. Within each group the default order is by how complete a profile is, then by how recently the provider was active. For emergencies, the provider’s stated response time comes first. Visitors can also sort by distance, price or newest, and filter results. Nobody can pay for a better position.
Reviews
Reviews come from customers and from other providers. A provider can send a one-time link after a job, valid for 24 hours, and only reviews from those links count towards the rating. Reviews without a link need a confirmed email, are shown separately and don’t count. A person on our team checks every review before it appears, publishes honest negative reviews, and rejects spam, abuse, conflicts of interest and reviews that aren’t about a real job. Beyond these checks we don’t verify that each job took place. Nobody can review their own profile.
Moderation
A person on our team reviews every photo before it appears. Profiles and text are published when you submit them and may be checked later, for example after a report. We may reject content, hide a profile or suspend an account that breaks these terms or the law. We don’t use automated tools to make these decisions. Each time, we tell you what we decided, why, which rule applies, and how to ask us to look again.
Ending an account
You can delete your account from Settings at any time, at no cost. If we restrict or end your use of Amano, we give you the reason. Unless the law, a safety risk or repeated or serious breaches prevent it, we give provider accounts at least 30 days’ notice before ending them for good.
Advice to customers
Before hiring a provider, check their identity, qualifications, licences, insurance, references, price and conditions yourself, and agree them in writing. Profile information comes from the provider and we don’t check it unless we say so.
Liability
We work to keep Amano available and accurate, but can’t promise it always will be. We aren’t responsible for the services agreed between customers and providers, for their quality, safety, price or performance, or for loss or damage arising from them, nor for what users publish, unless we fail to act promptly once properly told that it is illegal. Nothing here limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit, or your rights as a consumer.
Reporting content
Anyone can report content they believe is illegal or breaks these terms, with “Report this profile” or “Report image”, or by writing to gandasoft@zohomail.com. If you give an email, we confirm that we received the report and tell you our decision.
Help and complaints
Write to gandasoft@zohomail.com, or use the feedback page. We will reply and tell you the outcome of a complaint. Consumers can also contact the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority or go to the courts. As a small enterprise, we are not required to name mediators for disputes with providers.
Changes
We tell providers by email at least 15 days before a change that affects them, unless the law requires it sooner. If you disagree you can delete your account before it takes effect. The current version is always on this page.
Law and language
These terms are governed by the law of Malta and are available in English. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory protection of the country where you live and can bring a claim there.
